J/D Ficathon Needs Your Help!

New and exciting things going on with J/D Ficathon this year! Like:

We're now on Dreamwidth! How exciting! The community is still under construction, but it will be ready soon.

There will be TWO events this year! This year, J/D Ficathon will be adding a prompt-a-thon in May and June. Keep an eye out for more information!

I want to help! Tell me how!

There are four ways you can help J/D Ficathon this year. They are:

Artists Needed: As always, an artist is needed to create a banner and icons for the two communities. Also, I'm looking to change up the layout this year, so that's an opportunity, too.
Taggers Needed: I'm also going to need help going through and tagging last year's fic with the standardized tags.
Dreamwidth Advice Needed: I'm new to Dreamwidth, and have some questions, specifically pertaining to layouts.

It depends on when you need the help. I'd be happy to try to make graphics for the comm. I can make icons and if your above help falls through, I can try to help with comm graphics.

I am, however, committed for the next month with icon battles so either I'd have start immediately or it might take me a couple of weeks as I fit it in around the battles.

ETA: OH! I forgot. If you want still need tagging help, I'm happy to tag. Just, again, I'll need a little time.

What I need from the graphics person is a banner in two sizes (700x400 pixels and 500x250 pixels) and a matching icon. I really don't care what it looks like, as long as it a) has both Jack and Daniel in it, b) is worksafe, and c) says J/D Ficathon VIII 2011 on it somewhere. You can take a look at this gallery (http://pics.livejournal.com/melayneseahawk/gallery/0000ew2p) to see what's been done in the past. If you think you can throw something together before the icon battles, that would be awesome, but if not, I can find someone else.

I'll add you to the list of possible taggers. Expect to get an e-mail about that in the next few days.

so will Dreamwidth be a mirror to LJ- with crossposting? I only ask because I use LJ much much more often than I'm ever on Dreamwidth. I have an account over there, but...
Anyway, I've no problems with any of it, just looking for clarification. Can't wait for the ficathon! :)

The plan is to have both ficathons run on LJ and DW simultaneously, with people having the option to post on one site or the other; I will then collate everything into a Master Post that links everything on both sites. This should solve the problem of people only having one or the other.
